Support, counseling, advocacy, shelter, education and prevention. These are the things we do all day, every day, in 17 Kentucky counties:
Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Powell, Scott and Woodford.
At absolutely no charge to the people we help. Community driven and community supported.
We do this work because we know it is important to the health of the community. And we do it with passion and conviction because for us it’s not just a job. It’s our reason for being.
Our shelter is a fully secure 32-bed home that is fully staffed 24 hours a day. Set amongst 40 acres of beautiful Bluegrass farmland, it’s a perfect place for minds and bodies to heal in peace and privacy. There are 12 bedrooms, two community living rooms, an enormous dining area and kitchen, children’s playrooms, a library, an art room and a yoga room.
Counseling, casework, legal advocacy and support groups are offered at satellite offices in downtown Lexington and Danville.
