Registration is closed for this year. Please complete this short form to receive notifications about other flower and farm events throughout the year.

What does CSA mean?

CSA is the abbreviation for community-supported agriculture. This term means the farmer and member share in the benefits and risks of agricultural production. We commit to keeping members informed about successes and challenges during the growing season.

When will my membership begin and end?

Our season begins the first week in June and continues for 14 weeks. The membership options you choose will determine specific start and end date for your flowers. We will send you an email with the dates of your flower distributions as the summer season nears.

Why is the CSA season shorter this year?

Although supply and labor expenses have increased in recent months, we didn’t want to raise the cost of membership. Shortening the season by two weeks allowed membership fees to remain the same as last year. Weather permitting, we’re planning to host a U-Pick Day on the farm after the Summer Flower CSA concludes.

How much does it cost?

Membership fees are based on the number of weeks you choose during registration:

Full Season (14 weeks – weekly) – $280
Half Season (7 weeks – biweekly) – $175
Quarter Season (4 weeks – monthly) – $100.

Where and when do I pickup my flowers?

Why isn't GoodFoods a pickup option this year?

They implemented a new policy related to external CSA pickups, but this year a new pickup partnership was launched with Vine & Branch Wine at 355 Southland Dr.

What if I can't pick up my flowers one week?

Unfortunately, given our production schedule, we are unable to reschedule your pickup day or location after your membership has begun. We understand that illness, vacations, and life’s emergencies happen. If you’re unable to pick up your flowers one week, please send a friend or family member to pick up the flowers in your place.

Why aren't you offering arranged flowers?

The decision to focus on wrapped flowers again this summer was given much consideration. Matters related to our staff capacity and control of membership costs informed the decision.

What kind of flowers do you grow?

Our flowers are local and seasonal. Colors and varieties change throughout the summer. Examples of the most prolific flowers on our farm include Ageratum, Celosia, Cosmos, Gomphrena, Rudbeckia, Sunflowers, and Zinnia.

Is your farm organic?

Although not USDA certified, we use organic fertilizers and pesticides derived from natural sources. Drip irrigation and hand labor reduces our farm’s carbon footprint, and the crops we plant provide a habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects. Little bug bites on leaves here and there are a reminder that we only use sustainable and responsible practices on our farm.

How does my membership support survivors of intimate partner abuse?

Your membership creates nature-based healing opportunities on the farm that surrounds our emergency shelter for survivors and their children. Our farm is supported by research related to healing outcomes of therapeutic  gardens and “social farming” as a means to promote healing and community networks in rural areas. The farm also provides job training and micro-enterprise opportunities for survivors, while raising funding to support our mission.

Is my membership tax-deductible?

Probably not. The market value of your weekly flowers exceeds the cost being charged for membership, so it’s unlikely your membership will be tax-deductible; however, we recommend speaking with a tax professional to confirm. Should you require additional information for tax purposes, please contact us.
