DONATION DRIVES

  • Rest Well Drive – A donation drive to collect new pillows and twin-size beds-in-a-bag is a wonderful way to support survivors. Last year, more than 250 adults and children lived at our emergency shelter. It’s our goal to welcome every resident with new bedding that they can take with them when it’s safe to exit shelter.
  • Socks for Survivors Drive – On any given day, about 32 survivors are living at our shelter. That’s 64 feet of different sizes from newborn to adult. And we’re always in need of new socks to keep them warm. A donation drive to collect new socks for adults and children living at our shelter really helps.
  • Underdrive –  Yep, a donation drive for underclothes! Diapers for babies and underwear of all sizes for children and adults would help so much.

SERVICE DAY PROJECTS

  • At the shelter – Your group can help with one or a few of these projects in our shelter: organizing donations of non-perishable items, helping with seasonal facility upkeep, sprucing up landscaping…
  • On the farm – Lots of group volunteer projects are available on our farm, from helping with day-to-day operations like spreading compost or cover crop to special projects like repairing hoop houses.
  • Around the property – With 40-acres of rural land, there’s always something that needs attention on the property: fence repairs, fence painting, lawn maintenance, brush removal, and more.
