Lexington & Winchester Spotlighted in Upcoming Episode Hosted by Crystal Gayle

The award-winning uplifting series Finding Kindness, produced by Just Do GOOD Entertainment, is bringing its next episode to the Lexington and Winchester region, highlighting stories of resilience, community, and compassion. Country music icon Crystal Gayle will serve as Celebrity Guest Host.

Featured in the episode is GreenHouse17, a shelter and advocacy agency dedicated to ending intimate partner abuse, led by Executive Director Darlene Thomas. The organization provides a safe, nurturing environment where survivors can heal and rebuild their lives. Its distinctive farm-based model offers opportunities to grow food, develop skills, and restore a sense of dignity and purpose.

“Being featured on Finding Kindness allows us to share our mission on a national level and honor the strength and resilience of the survivors we serve,” said Darlene Thomas, Executive Director of GreenHouse17.

Also featured is She Angels Foundation, with Co-Founder Cat Curry-Williams presenting a $5,000 grant to GreenHouse17. The contribution supports female-focused nonprofits and reflects the core mission of Finding Kindness—pairing compelling storytelling with meaningful philanthropic impact.

In addition to Lexington, Finding Kindness will film extensively in nearby Winchester, showcasing the region’s continued growth and community spirit. A significant portion of filming will take place at one of Winchester’s most anticipated new destinations, The Winchester Café, located on South Main Street.

Once open, The Winchester Café will offer classic Southern specialties in a welcoming space rooted in comfort, tradition, and community. The café is expected to become a vibrant destination, with plans for celebrity appearances and special events. Just Do GOOD Entertainment, the company behind Finding Kindness, will maintain an ongoing presence at The Winchester Café, contributing to its evolution as a hub for storytelling, entertainment, and community engagement.

Finding Kindness spotlights individuals, businesses, and nonprofits making a meaningful difference, blending compelling storytelling with direct charitable impact. The series shines a national light on the people and places that embody generosity, resilience, and the power of community.

Filming is slated for August, with distribution planned for early 2027.
