Shop & Share
Save the date for this year’s Shop & Share on Saturday, February 10.
Shop & Share is a one-day donation drive at grocery stores across Kentucky to support survivors of intimate partner abuse. You can “shop” for what you need and “share” a few items with your local domestic violence shelter.
Shoppers at participating Kroger locations in our 17-county service area donate enough non-perishable goods during the day to stock our shelter’s pantry for almost a year!
More than 100 volunteers will be needed to help distribute our needs list at Kroger stores (mostly outside of Lexington), deliver goods from stores across our service area to the shelter, and sort/stock the donations in our basement pantry.
If you or your community group would like to volunteer to help, follow this link to a short form and choose “event volunteering” for Shop & Share options.
Shop & Share is organized by Kentucky First Lady Britainy Beshear and ZeroV, the state coalition of domestic violence programs, in partnership with Kroger, Food City, IGA, and Super Dollar stores across Kentucky.
This important annual effort was begun 16 years ago by former Kentucky First Lady Jane Beshear.
